2025 Author Year

12/30/25

2025 is over, and wow, what a year! I can actually say this author year was challenging. I winged it for most of the year. And what I mean is, everything besides Claus and the Nonbeliever, weren’t planned releases. The books I planned on releasing this year fell by the wayside due to lost inspiration and the 2024 election results. Never fear, I am back in the writing studio working on them again.

In March, I lost a lot of inspiration, and it took me months to get it back. I was working on a short story that’s part of a short story series, and lost steam for it. The concept was great, especially because it was science fiction, which I had been neglecting; however, at the time, I couldn’t put the pieces together correctly. I cried about it and felt so defeated. Ultimately, I decided to put it to the side. Next year, I plan to revisit it and, hopefully, the pieces will finally fit.

Despite the failure to launch releases, I managed to release some stories/books. Ginny Davis and I released our first horror anthology together. It was amazing working with her. We plan on creating another part; however, no release information on that just yet. Second, I released my first erotica. To be honest, that’s the story that scared me the most. The genre is far outside my comfort zone; however, because it was stuck in my head for over a week, I couldn’t just let it sit there and fade into another corner of my mind, only to never think about it again. So, I put pen to paper and let the story flow. Do I plan on writing more in the genre? Of course I do. However, I cannot guarantee everyone will be human. Just saying.

Though my original plans didn’t happen in the way I wanted, I’m glad I found my inspiration again and released the stories/books that I did this year. I plan on taking a little break for the first two months of the year as I am going to send two stories to my editor; however, I will still be around somewhere writing or exploring. And if all goes to plan, expect to see 2.5 releases from me next year.

Happy New Year!
